Well it was a roaring success - we over sold the tickets, panicked, had nightmares that t was all going to go "Pete tong" spend a month gardening and then a week cooking. As always I pushed my boundary's and cooked far too many dishes - with 10 separate components in the cold Antipasti platter, along with a hot and spiced-lamb tagine and saffron rice, along with a few tapas - prawn fritters with garlic Aoli, polenta chips along with roaster red pepper and feta dip. Then there was three deserts to choose from Tirimisu with Amoretti biscuit, Lemon Semi Freddo, honeycomb and butterscotch sauce and a Strawberry and Pimms Torta with clotted cream - - all home-made using fresh local ingredients including the Suffolk Salami Company, Lowestoft Smoke House and Norfolk Cheeses. Tons of great feed back - the staff worked really hard and guests were a pleasure to cook for and serve. Plus the musician player original music accumpnied by his acustic guitar all through dinner. The ticket raffle winner won a bottle of champers and the quiz winner won some fresh local apple juice. BUT - will I do it again - - ???? I might do if my feet ever stop throbbing and I get through all the left over desserts and home-made chocolates!!!!
